Select:     Step 3: Class List (single-class list of student names and IDs)*more options below

Here you can

  • view names of students in your class and find contact information
  • choose between downloading a comma-separated class list suitable for importing into Excel, or a tab-delimited class list suitable for importing into Gradekeeper. Simply click on the download button of your choice and save the file to your desktop.

Export Buttons

For Gradekeeper - Click on the Gradekeeper button and “Save As” a text (.txt) file to your desktop. (On some computers, clicking on the download button will automatically send the text file to your download folder. Also, On PCs, downloaded class lists some times come in as a straight line of student names and IDs. To fix, save the file to the PC desktop; then open the file using MSWord. It'll open properly columned.)

Preparation for Gradekeeper/Web Use
Using MSWord, open your text (.txt) file, and eliminate the first 5 numbers in each student’s ID (alt/option, select, delete), and “Save” your adjusted text file. Close the text file.

TIPS:
1) We recommend that you use only the last four digits of your students’ ID #s
for identification purposes.

2) If you download using Netscape, make sure you open the file in MSWord and Save As a .txt file, otherwise Gradekeeper will not import the class list correctly.
